The hard thing about having two food blogs is that I often have to make a gut-wrenching choice. Does this recipe belong on She Cooks, or Greedy Girls? Which audience will benefit most from it? Which blog does it suit the tone of most?
Greedy Girls won this recipe for Chilli and Coriander Burgers. I’m sorry, my loves. But please do go check it out over there. It’s Slimming World friendly, really delicious, good for eating in front of the telly on a Friday night, proper comfort food.
It’s sort of like a salt and pepper grinder, but instead of putting salt and pepper in you use chilli. Then you just grind it over whatever you’re making to add chilli to it. I used it for the burgers and it worked a treat. You can also use it to grind chilli over whatever you’re eating – they suggested a pizza, but I put it over some rather bland yet healthy pasta and it worked a treat.
The main benefit for me is that I don’t have to get chilli all over my fingers every time I cook something spicy. I have a bad history of chopping chillis and getting the juice all over my fingers and then touching my eyes or my mouth before washing my hands. You haven’t lived until you rub your eye because it itches and then spend thirty minutes hopping up and down because they’re now ON FIRE after a blast of chilli.
